Japanese Yam
Yam Cultivation
Keihoku is a mountainous area with little flat land, but thanks to the difference in temperature, vegetables, and fruits grow very well. In particular, potatoes grow very well, so Hironourin is involved in the cultivation of yam.
The name "Kyo-sennin" (meaning "Japanese hermit" in Japanese) was chosen out of respect for the profound power of the yam, which looks like a hermit. The benefits of the yam, such as its vitamin E content, amino acids, and minerals, which is the highest among all potatoes, have been handed down from generation to generation. At Hironourin, we are expanding the production of the delicious and healthy yam "Kyo-senin".
